Description
Attend the 2012 MBS Fall Picnic Meeting!
Please join us for our annual Fall Picnic Meeting at the wonderful Dahlem Center in Jackson, Michigan on Sunday September 9th.
The event will start at 11:00 a.m. with a coffee and social hour where you can meet and greet fellow Michigan bluebirders. Then, from 12 to 1, we'll have lunch that is free for members and only a $5 donation for guests. From 1 to 2:30, we'll have a program on fall and winter bluebirding tasks by MBS V.P. Phil Peterson, as well as an update from MBS President Kurt Hagemeister. After that, there will be a late summer nature hike around the Dahlem trails.
In addition to the programs, social activities, and lunch, there will be free nesting box building plans available to take home and nest box kits for purchase. Don't miss this fun and relaxing event!

Enjoy the beauty of nature at the John and Mary Dahlem Environmental Education Center. Just a short drive from downtown Jackson, The Dahlem Center's nearly 300-acre natural area offers five miles of scenic trails meandering through shaded forests, tall grass prairie, marshes, ponds, and babbling streams. Well-placed benches provide ideal wildlife viewing, while beautiful entrance and demonstration gardens welcome hummingbirds, butterflies, and visitors on their way to the trails and the visitor building. The grounds are open to the public year-round and are free of charge.
